5 Minute Spinach Dip

If y’all are like us, then you LOVE snacks! We actually have snack night for supper, at least one night a month. We make sausage balls, little chicken salad sandwiches, pigs in a blanket, and everyones favorite…SPINACH DIP! It is seriously the easiest dip to make and it is delicious. I am just going to get right to it because I hate to find a recipe on a blog and have to scroll for days just to get to the dang ingredients! We can chat about things at a later date 

 

These are all the ingredients you need! When I said “easy”, I wasn’t lying! We are a family of 5, so I am giving the doubled version of the recipe.

(2) 10 ounce packs of frozen chopped spinach
(1) Pack of Hormel Crumbled Bacon
(2) Packs Knorr Vegetable Recipe Mix
16 ounces of Sour Cream
1/4 Cup Mayo (Dukes is the best, just sayin’)

 

Thaw the spinach, rinse, and get all the water out. I find the easiest way to do this, is to sandwich the spinach between two huge wads of paper towels and mash the crap out of it! (If anyone has a better suggestion on how to get water out of spinach, please let me know…lol! I’ve never claimed to be skilled in culinary arts!) After that, just mix it all together and enjoy with your favorite edible dipping apparatus. We like to eat ours with Wheat Thins.

  • We used cheese cloth to get the water out of the spinach and it worked wonderfully.
